On April 17, the second-year students (English and Lithuanian groups) of Software engineering at the Šiauliai Academy of Vilnius University visited the company NORD ROBOTICS.

The robotic sample collection and testing system developed by the company to diagnose COVID-19 disease was presented to the students. Students were able to observe the routine activities of the company's employees as they tuned the robotic system to meet the customer's needs.

A room dedicated to the education of new employees was also demonstrated. The students got acquainted with the software used for the development of robotic systems and learned what specialties are expected at the company. The students were accompanied by the Artificial intelligence teacher, prof. Dr. G. Daunys and Assistant of Robotic Systems Infrastructure Dr. Dainius Balbonas.

Lina Garšvienė, director of the Regional Development Institute, noted that cooperation with company NORD ROBOTICS is significant for the Software engineering study program, whose students are often interested in Robotic Systems specialization: "I am glad that after the conversation with director Dr. Remigius Laurutis, the possibility of familiarization-educational practice at the company was discussed. We are grateful to Andrius Grudzinskas for the invaluable experience during this visit".
