On January 29, VU Šiauliai Academy was in a festive mood as it held its diploma award ceremony.

Graduates, members of the academy community, and guests gathered at the Saulė concert hall in a festive mood and dressed up for the occasion. A solemn graduation ceremony took place there. This winter, the academy graduated its sixth class since the founding of VU Šiauliai Academy and its 76th since the founding of Šiauliai Higher Education Institution.

The diplomas were presented by the Vice-Rector for Studies at Vilnius University, Doc. Dr. Valdas Jaskūnas, and the Director of the Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy, Prof. Dr. Renata Bilbokaitė. This winter, 228 students and 251 auditors completed their studies at the Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy. The participants of the ceremony were greeted by the Vice-Rector for Studies of Vilnius University, who was delighted that the academy brings together so many students from different countries.

The graduates were also greeted by Prof. Renata Bilbokaitė, who thanked the students for becoming such an important part of the academy community. During the event, Justinas Švėgžda, Deputy Mayor of Šiauliai, also gave a speech, encouraging graduates not to be afraid to find themselves. Traditionally, the VU Šiauliai Academy Alumni Scholarship was also awarded during the graduation ceremony. This year, the €300 scholarship was awarded to graduate Julija Petniūnaitė-Mažionė.
