May 6 A meeting was held at VU Šiauliai Academy with Darius Mikulskis, head of Armetlina UAB, who heads one of the largest electrical equipment manufacturers in Lithuania.
Since the company is interested in testing its products and developing robotic programs, during the meeting the possibilities of cooperation in these areas were discussed with the robotic systems modeling scientists of the Informatics study program committee. In the future, the company undertakes to provide internships both in e-mail. for students of both service systems and robotic systems specializations.
Lina Garšvienė, director of the Regional Development Institute, presented the idea of Patronage of VU Šiauliai Academy, Sigita Turskienė, chairperson of study programs in the field of Informatics, emphasized the importance of practical classes in the program. Scientist - teacher Edvardas Bielskis introduced the Intelligent Manufacturing Laboratory of VU Šiauliai Academy. It conducts training and applied research in the fields of robotic manufacturing and material processing. The laboratories carry out training and applied research in the basics of working with software-controlled machines and computerized design, as well as training and applied research in the application, programming and servicing of industrial robots and their systems.
