From May 25 to 29, an international scientific conference was held at the Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy, bringing together researchers from Lithuania, Spain, and Italy.
During the visit, the guests shared their academic and research experiences, presented ongoing research projects, and discussed opportunities for international collaboration.
The meeting was attended by researchers from the University of Girona (Universitat de Girona, Spain)—Dr. Esther Hernández Rovira and Dr. Dolors Cañabate Ortiz.
Dr. Esther Hernández Rovira is conducting a research internship at Šiauliai Academy, collaborating with researchers from the research group “Teacher Education and Teaching (and Learning) Processes.” Her internship supervisor in Lithuania is Prof. Dr. Remigijus Bubnys. During the visit, Dr. Esther Hernández Rovira presented the “scoping review” methodology, discussed the potential applications of this method, and shared her practical experience in conducting research.
Dr. Dolors Cañabate Ortiz is a researcher at the University of Girona, a specialist in pedagogy and educational research, and an active participant in international research projects and the activities of the GREPAI (Research Group in Educational Practices and Active Learning Processes). She is also a member of the “Proveržis” project’s research team and the supervisor of Dr. Esther Hernández Rovira’s internship in Spain. Her research areas include active learning, reflection in education, social inclusion, and innovative educational methods.
Prof. Dr. Folco Cimagalli is a sociologist whose research interests include social policy, community development, social services, and qualitative research. The researcher actively participates in international research and academic initiatives focused on issues of social welfare and societal development.
The international visit by the researchers contributed to strengthening academic ties, disseminating scientific ideas, and expanding joint research among the university communities of Lithuania, Spain, and Italy.
