On June 1, 2026, non-formal education teachers from the Šiauliai Center of Technical Creativity gathered for a public lecture by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ieva Bilbokaitė-Skiauterienė, titled 'SELF-ASSESSMENT – The Beginning of a Great Lesson'.
The event focused on boosting teachers' skills in assessment, self-evaluation, and tracking student progress, highlighting that self-assessment is where a great lesson begins, and a strong assessment culture is the foundation of quality education.
The session combined creative stations, visualization, emotional reflection, communication networks, leadership symbols, and qualitative assessment methods. These tools gave teachers hands-on experience showing how evaluation truly drives learning. During the workshop, teachers reflected on their own professional practices, shared insights, and helped strengthen a shared assessment culture—all aimed at delivering high-quality, inclusive, and creative non-formal education in Šiauliai.
