On June 19, the diploma award ceremony for the 6th summer graduating class of Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy took place at the Saulė Concert Hall. Graduates, their parents and relatives, as well as the entire Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy community gathered to celebrate the occasion.
A welcoming speech was delivered by Dr. Artūras Vasiliauskas, Vice-Rector for Partnerships at Vilnius University. Emphasizing the importance of education, he wished the graduates a wonderful celebration and encouraged them not to forget the path back to their Alma Mater. The Director of Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy, Prof. Dr. Renata Bilbokaitė, also addressed the audience. She expressed her delight at seeing such a large group of graduates, encouraged them to pursue their goals, and reminded them never to stop learning. Greetings were also extended by Šiauliai Vice Mayor Justinas Švėgžda, who encouraged the graduates to move forward confidently in their professional careers and to contribute their knowledge and skills to shaping the future of both the city and the country.
During the ceremony, Ieva Grinienė, President of the Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy Alumni Association, awarded a one-time incentive scholarship of €300 to English Philology graduate Arnoldas Žebrauskas, who distinguished himself not only through diligent studies but also through active participation in various activities.
The celebration featured performances by the Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy folk music ensemble Saulė, whose traditional dances delighted the audience. The event was hosted by alumnus Domantas Valinčius, who helped create a warm and festive atmosphere.
In June 2026, Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy graduated its 6th summer cohort, which is the 76th graduating class since the establishment of the Šiauliai higher education institution. A total of 225 bachelor's and master's diplomas and study certificates were awarded during the ceremony, including 90 bachelor's degrees, 58 master's degrees, and 77 certificates issued to non-degree study participants.
