Four new “DOBOT Magican E6” robots have arrived at the Šiauliai Academy of Vilnius University.
In total, the academy now has five such robots, all of which will be installed in the new Robotic Systems Modeling Laboratory. According to Assistant Professor Dainius Balbonas, there are plans to purchase additional accessories—a conveyor belt and end-effectors (grippers). All of this will allow for better utilization of the robots’ full capabilities.
Students in the Software Systems study program will be able to try out the new equipment and robots in just a few months. Students use the robots to learn, carry out practical activities, and even incorporate them into their final projects.
Robotic systems are not only integrated into the academic curriculum but are also used to develop educational activities for high school students.
