On October 21, 2026, an awards ceremony was held to announce the winners of Vilnius University’s competition recognizing significant contributions to open science.
The “Impact of Open Science” nomination was awarded to a research group at the Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy specializing in global competencies and didactics, as well as the authors of the STEAMUKAS methodological books.
This nomination was awarded for projects or research that, in accordance with the principles of open science, had a significant impact on science, society, or policy-making.
The STEAMUKAS publications released in 2025 by researchers at the Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy (STEAM activity guidebooks for students, teachers, and parents) were recognized for their impact on society, as these publications are not only of high quality but are also free of charge and have received exceptional recognition and interest within the educational community.
